Substructure Repairs.

While the bridge deck is the part that most people see on a regular basis, the substructure is just as important: it’s what holds the entire bridge up. Substructures are normally constructed from steel reinforced concrete. Repairing any concrete issues on a regular basis protects the integrity of the substructure in the long run.

Process

After determining the areas of the substructure that need repair, new concrete is mixed and applied. After curing the concrete, the repaired areas are finished to provide a uniform look.

Benefits

  • Maintains bridge integrity without replacing the entire bridge
  • Protects the important bridge supports
  • Extends the life of a bridge substructure by 5 to 10 years

Consider Substructure Repairs when

concrete in the bridge substructure needs repair but the entire substructure doesn’t need to be replaced.
