Deck Repairs.

A bridge wouldn’t be a bridge without what everybody drives over: the deck. Just like roads, bridge decks are susceptible to weather and other stress conditions that can damage the underlying concrete. Addressing small problems on a regular basis can help keep the condition in check.

Process

After an examination of deck conditions, the concrete in poor condition is removed. That concrete is replaced with a rapid setting, low-permeability concrete poured from a mobile mixer onto the area that requires repair. Once a new layer of asphalt is laid, the bridge is ready for traffic.

Benefits

  • Proactive maintenance stops material deterioration and keeps the bridge surface sound
  • Frequent treatments save money over the life of the bridge
  • Cost-effective in the short term
