Membrane Waterproofing: Preformed.

A mixture of spunbond polyester impregnated fiberglass and modified polymer bitumen that’s compressed and formed into a sheet-like membrane that can be cut and laid down after deck repairs.

Process

After deck repairs are complete, a piece of preformed membrane is cut to match the specific measurements of the newly reconstructed area. The roll is cut big enough to overlap with the existing membrane layer and maintain moisture protection.

Benefits

  • Protects bridge deck from moisture intrusion
  • Cost-effective treatment
  • Usually matches existing membrane layer

Consider Membrane Waterproofing: Preformed when

you need to waterproof a newly reconstructed area of a bridge deck that uses a preformed membrane throughout the rest of the deck.
